Ashley Wilburn is a native of Hagerstown in Maryland. She graduated from North Hagerstown High School where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's law practice is focused on family law. She has a love for it. She concentrates her practice on divorce cases, alimony matters, marital property division, child custody battles and child support arrangements. She also handles post-divorce enforcement and post-divorce issues such as step-parent adoptions and private party adoptions, as well as concerns about child welfare. In addition to family law, Ashley also handles estate planning issues, such as probate, wills, trusts, and estate administration, as well as commercial, contract, and civil litigation cases. Ashley has been a mediator appointed by the court since the year 2019. She helps parties resolve their disputes without the need for court or litigation involvement. Ashley mediates private cases and also court-appointed mediations for people who want to avoid court processes and litigation.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. She continued her legal education through Western New England University School of Law. Graduating in 2013, she excelled academically, ranking among the top 10 students in her class. While at law school, Ashley served as a Note Editor for the esteemed Western New England Law Review and demonstrated her dedication to legal research and scholarship.

Ashley began her clerkship path after completing her law degree. She worked for distinguished jurists from Connecticut and Maryland. She was fortunate to serve as a law assistant for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson at the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott. Subsequently, in 2014 she returned to her hometown of Hagerstown to be a clerk for Honorable M. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. as an associate attorney. Her main focus at the firm involved representing the Washington County Department of Social Services in matters related to child welfare. Through her dedicated efforts, Ashley played a vital role in helping children who had suffered neglect or abuse at from their parents or caregivers. Her dedication to fighting social injustice transcended her legal career when she was a member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force. She worked tirelessly to raise awareness about human trafficking within the tri-state region.

In 2017, she became a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., where she developed her practice in the areas of family law such as divorce, child support, custody and guardianships as well as estate planning - wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxies and mediation.

Ashley founded Wilburn Law Office, LLC 2023 with the aim of providing an individual approach to each client's needs.
